David Silverstein, M.D.

Dr. David Silverstein was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Son of Maurice, a native New Yorker recipient of multiple military awards during WWII, and Sofia, a Romanian refugee from the war, he was raised multilingual and with an interest in sciences and humanities.
He completed his post-graduate training through Temple University in Internal Medicine and subsequently completed dual Fellowships in Pulmonary Medicine and in Critical Care Medicine through Yale University.
He has served on many state and national committees including the National Association of Medical Directors of Respiratory Care and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group. He was the recipient of the Presidential Citation Award in 2002 from the Society of Critical Care and served as a Member of the Board of Advisors for the Comprehensive Lung Center at the University of Pittsburgh.
He is a Master Mason with Perpetual Membership in the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Florida and has held Directorship for the Pulmonary Divisions of many hospitals, both in Pennsylvania and in Florida.
While in practice he was a full member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, American Medical Association, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Academy of Sleep medicine, American Society of Internal Medicine, American Thoracic Society, and the International Association of Medical Specialists.
He is now retired and enjoys traveling, concerts, stamp collecting and good cuisine.
