Anthony is a multifaceted individual with a diverse background and extensive experience, bringing valuable insights and skill to our team. Born in Johnson City, Tennessee, he joined the Navy after high school and served for four years seeing the world from the decks of the USS Theodore Roosevelt. After his military service, Anthony pursued his artistic inclinations and earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Austin Peay State University, specializing in photography and the visual arts.
Following his graduation, Anthony dedicated ten years to journalism, working as a photographer for the Greeneville Sun, a local daily paper in Greeneville, TN. His work garnered recognition, including state-level photography awards from the Associated Press and the Tennessee Press Association. He played a crucial role in introducing digital photography and real-time internet publishing to the newspaper.
Following the terror attacks of September 11th, 2001, Anthony was driven by a desire to support our nation’s national defense efforts. This led in 2005 to a position at the US Army's National Ground Intelligence Center. In the years following he held various technical and leadership positions, servings both as a civilian employee and as a contractor supporting several Counter-IED Identity Intelligence projects stateside and while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2011, he transitioned into project management and currently holds the position of Senior Program Manager for Cyber Defense Technologies, overseeing a Cyber Security contract for the Special Operations Command in Tampa. Over the last decade, Anthony has successfully managed and executed nearly $500M in federal government contracts, supporting multiple Federal Government departments, including the Department of Defense, the US State Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and various agencies within the Intelligence Community.
Beyond his professional expertise, Anthony has passion for community involvement and helping people. While living in Centreville, VA he served as a Board Member and Vice-President on the Walney Mills HOA Board of Directors, actively addressing homeowner concerns, and responding to emergent issues. In 2021, Anthony and his wife Cindy moved from Virginia to The Preserve at South Branch. Anthony served as the first homeowner elected to the HOA’s Board where he worked to facilitate solutions to issues brought to him by homeowners. Upon developer turn-over to the Homeowner controlled board, Anthony volunteered to serve on the Architectural Review Committee (ARC), where he is chair. The committee has reviewed nearly 200 ARC requests and implemented several amendments to the HOAs ARC guidelines in response to community requests and to make them more “resident-friendly”.
Outside of work and community service, Anthony and his wife Cindy embrace an active lifestyle in the Tampa Bay area. They enjoy exploring the Suncoast and Nature Coast themselves or with visiting friends and family through activities like biking, kayaking, hiking, and relaxing on the beach. They also seek out local festivals, wineries, and hidden gems that embody the charm of "Old Florida." Committed to deepening their roots in the community, Anthony and Cindy have found a church home at Trinity New Life Church and are actively involved in both church and community initiatives.
